She knew the rain was coming. She could feel it.

It was just a regular battle with the Power Rangers. As usual, she and Prince Gasket were winning or so they thought. Then at the last minute, the rangers began fighting back.

Tommy growled,” Are you ready to give up?”

Plip.

Rayana felt that. The single raindrop that fell from the sky and landed on her face. She frowned a bit as she said,” Never.” As she got ready to attack once more.

Plop.

Gasket heard it that time as well but he ignored it. He was bound and determined to finish off the Rangers once and for all.

Plip. Plop. Plip plop.

The rain began falling from the sky as the battle began to tense up. Rayana’s eyes shot open as she looked at Gasket.

Rain was his weakness. The water could cause his machine body to become rusty. The last time that happened…she did not even want to think about it!

Rayana whispered,” Gasket, we need to go now!”

Making a growling sound under his breath, Gasket replied,” I want to finish off the rangers once and for all.”

Rayana frowned,” But the rain……”

Gasket said,” Don’t worry. I shall be fine.” As he began engaging the Gold Ranger in battle.

Plip plop plip plop plip plop plip plip plip!

The rain continued to fall as the conditions were getting worse to fight in. Rayana looked up to see in time Gasket huffing a bit then collapsing to the ground.
He was in pain. It was that obvious.

“Oh no! I was afraid this would happen!!”

Rayana ran to him and lifted him up and made him put his arm over her shoulder. She growled out,” You have not seen the last of us!” as she transported them to a safe place which was a small cave outside of town.


She could not transport them home. It was too wet and her ice powers were useless in this weather. So they were both stuck there for the night.

Rayana ripped a piece of her dress off and began wiping Prince Gasket down. She whispered,” Please hang on.”

Gasket groaned a bit as he whispered,” I was so careless…you tried to warn me…..”

Rayana said,” Shhh don’t talk like that. Its no big deal…..”

Huffing a bit, Gasket managed to say,” I know better! I am a machine! I am not supposed to get wet! Water hurts my internal gears! I will be unable to fight for a couple of days! The rangers! What are we going to do about them?!”

Rayana gently wiped his face off and said,” We shall worry about that when we get to it. Now you need to relax. Let me finish drying you off.”

Gasket sighed a bit as he looked at the ceiling. He said,” I guess we are stuck here eh?”

Rayana nodded,” It looks like it. Sorry I could try to get us home but it would useless until this rain let’s up.”

Gasket took her hand in his and squeezed it gently. He whispered,” You got me to safety. That is good enough.”

Blushing a bit, Rayana finished up what she was doing and slowly took out some oil. She began oiling Gasket’s arms and legs down.

Gasket closed his eyes and was enjoying how Rayana was oiling him down. He needed a good oil. He had not had one in a long time.

Rayana said,” This reminds me of my old life. When I was a small child, my sisters and I would play out in the rain. Of course, I would turn the rain to ice and it was not that much fun for them.”

Gasket chuckled a bit as he said,” I bet it was interesting growing up on Earth the first 5 years of your life.”

Rayana shrugged,” I guess so. I don’t have that many memories. Most of mine were erased.” As she looked at the ground.

Gasket nodded. He knew why. It was an effort to save her from King Aragon’s wrath.

Rayana walked to the opening of the cave and closed her eyes. She smelled the fresh rain and it tickled her nose.

She opened her eyes and stretched her hand out to catch some rain. She was enjoying this. She wanted the rain to keep falling.

“Let the rain fall….let the rain fall…..”

Gasket watched her in awe. He was amazed. She was almost like a little kid again, enjoying the rain.

Rayana sighed as she pulled her hand back in and went to sit down beside Gasket. She blinked as he pulled her close to him.

Gasket whispered,” Let the rain fall……”

Rayana nodded as she said,” Let the rain fall…..”

Gasket gently kissed her on the lips and was surprised when she kissed back.

That night it did not matter if they had to stay in a dark cave. That night it did not matter that they were miles from home. They were letting the rain fall and they were enjoying each other’s company. That was all that mattered.
